About Shan Zhong Bao Turtle Soup
The Chinese translation for the business is “treasure from the mountains” – referring to the status people bestowed on turtles.

This is a stall in the business for over 40 years.  The stall specializes in dishing out tasty turtle soup and the likes.  The receipe is traditional, probably close to the original ones that came with the migrants in the early years.

In the heydays, the stall used to open for only 2 hours.  Due to customer movement over the years out from the old estate, and the physical limits that come with age, ShanZhongBao only sells limited quantity each day.  Aunty is friendly and chatty if she is not busy.  So if you want a taste of quality traditional turtle soup, this is the stall to visit.
